Welcome to ‘The Old End’ in the peaceful village of Sheldon, three miles from Bakewell, Derbyshire in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park.
Sheldon is a small village and has a traditional village pub 'The Cock & Pullet', serving hand pulled ales and delicious bar meals, a Village Hall which serves Cream Teas on Bank Holidays, and a delightful Church of England Church St. Michael and All Angels (services held at 9am on 2nd and 4th Sundays).
The nearest shops are to be found in Ashford in the Water (1.5 miles) and Monyash (2.5 miles). These villages also have village pubs. The nearest supermarket, chemist and a variety of other shops, a Sunday Carboot sale (summer only) and a Monday market can be found three miles away in Bakewell.
