Location and Directions
‘The Old End’ is located in the village of Sheldon, DE45 1QS, (three miles from Bakewell, Derbyshire)
From the south:
Travel along M1 North until Junction 29 taking the A617 exit to A632 (Mansfield/Matlock/Chesterfield). At Heath interchange take the 5th exit onto A617 keep on this until the 2nd roundabout then take the A619. Follow the A619 until taking a right turn onto the A6020 continuing until reaching a 'T' junction then turn right onto the A6 (Should you miss the turn onto the A6020 continue into Bakewell then right at the roundabout taking the A6 (Buxton) for approx. two miles) Take a left hand turn (signposted Sheldon) from the A6, and the first right hand turn up a steep hill - at the top you will glimpse your first view of Sheldon. ‘The Old End’ / Yew Tree House is the 2nd property on the right.
From the north: Travel along the M1 South until Junction 29 and then follow the directions above.
Please park on the left of the shared driveway of Yew Tree House.
